5. Weight Gain
Humidity also slows down the body’s digestion capacity. Undigested food unsettles your health to cause stomach problems like diarrhoea, cramps or gastritis. It may also cause weight gain, as poorer the digestion, more is the weight gain. Acid reflux is another stomach condition. It generates a type of pain that resembles food cravings. As it is easily mistaken with hunger, one tends to eat more, thus experiencing weight gain. Food consumption is a temporary help as both saliva and food are able to suppress the pain. But on digestion of that food, there is even more pain due to rebound acid. This cycle of pain and food consumption goes on and on, ultimately leading to weight gain.
